Kanjify is a Japanese kanji learning app for iOS covering JLPT N5 and N4. It combines stroke order practice, spaced repetition flashcards, and structured lessons to help you learn and remember kanji effectively.
What kanji does Kanjify cover? Kanjify covers all JLPT N5 and N4 kanji, including on and kun readings, meanings, and example sentences with romaji and English translations. Support for more levels will come in future updates.
How does stroke practice work? Each kanji shows an animated stroke-by-stroke breakdown. After watching, you can trace the character yourself and the app will evaluate whether your strokes match the correct order and direction.
Why does my stroke not register correctly? Try drawing more slowly and follow the direction shown in the animation. Strokes that are too short or drawn at an extreme angle may not be recognised.
How does spaced repetition work? The flashcard session tracks which kanji you get right and wrong. Characters you struggle with are shown more frequently so your review time is spent where it matters most.
How do I create a custom deck? Open the Flashcards tab, tap the add button to create a new deck, then use the kanji picker to add characters from the full library.
How do I add kanji to my favorites? Open any kanji detail view and tap the heart icon. Your favorites are accessible from the Browse tab and can be studied as a flashcard session.
